Pamela & Matthew

We had the pleasure of working with Pamela & Matthew for eight months leading up to their wedding. These two exude intellect, uniqueness, and happiness. They were just the kind of couple we wanted to spend time on the phone with and meet at the venue 2.5 hours out of the city to go on site visits with! They are the kind of couple that you just want to celebrate, and I feel confident that we will stay good friends.

Pamela & Matthew picked Mt. Tremper Arts because they loved the indoor/outdoor nature of the property with the ability for their friends and family to stay on-site all weekend. They also knew that they wanted to say “I Do” outdoors on the Upper Campus in front of a field of wild flowers….whether rain or shine (much to my instance that an indoor ceremony was a “safer” bet).

Luckily, P & M got that incredible outdoor ceremony that they envisioned (although we had to wait 15 minutes for rain to pass) in front of a beautiful circular arch by Sprig & Social. Cocktail hour then took place in the beautiful lush gardens with light bites provided by Embers Hudson Valley and signature cocktails and beer on tap provided by Wandering Wheels. Garrett & Tamara provided the ceremony and cocktail hour music, which then transitioned to DJ Prime 1 for the reception. Embers Hudson Valley wowed guests with a wood-fired pizza truck on-site that churned out fresh pizzas all evening before transitioning to soft pretzels and ice cream to accompany the cake by Maxine’s Catering. Beautiful photos by Joshua Brown Photography.

Two of my favorite things about this wedding and this couple:

  1. Pamela & Matthew sought to hire female and/or BIPOC vendors to help them pull off their wedding celebration

  2. Their first dance was to Sunday Candy by Donny Trumpet & The Social Experiment….best first dance EVER
